PISSARRO, Lucien (1863-1944)
Taught by his father, the Impressionist Camille Pissarro, Lucien Pissarro was primarily a landscape painter. After exhibiting at the last Impressionist exhibition in Paris in 1886, he settled in England in 1890, staying there for the rest of his life. He became a member of the Camden Town Painters, forging an important link between the French Impressionists and early 20th century British painters. |
