Clown with Flowers
“Clown with Flowers” by Marc Chagall is a clear impression with rich colors depicting a clown in a green crosshatched top with small red circle holding a large bouquet of flowers against his left shoulder against a yellow background and a red sheep peaking in on the bottom right. This lithograph measures 12.5 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide and was created in 1963 as a part of a bound book. This is from an unsigned edition of 6000, compiled and written by Fernand Mourlot and published by Monte Carlo: A. Sauret as “Chagall Lithographe 1957 – 1962” and is one of 6000 unsigned editions. This piece comes framed in a black semi-gloss contemporary scoop frame and double matted with white linen and glossy black matting.
